Advertising Standards support DC

A controversial advertising campaign designed by Dupree Creative has been given official backing from the Advertising Standards Authority.
An advertising campaign for Garbolino UK products, which drew complaints that it was distasteful, can continue. The underlying message was designed to suppport the strapline 'Reaching beyond expectations' which DC also created.
A reader reported the adverts - which suggested selling your granny, giving your right arm or kidnapping a cat to get the money to buy Garbolino gear - to the ASA. But the ASA has ruled that the adverts were designed to be humerous and therefore were unlikely to cause offense.
