WEB FAQs
Why should I use Dupree Creative?
Whether you’re an experienced marketing director or a new start-up, whether you are opting for a bespoke solution or a templated site, you’ll find we make the process as easy and productive as possible. We will talk you through every step of the building process, then offer advice and support after the site has gone live.
If your website is bespoke, everything can be tailored to your exact needs, while the bespoke options offer fantastic value for money and still benefitting from a professional content management system.
Our team are highly trained and experienced in both design and programming, and have produced everything from personal pages all the way through to large ecommerce websites. Being built by both graphic designers and developers, what you get is the best blend of form and functionality.
As such, the sites we produce have one thing in common – they work exceptionally well. They not only look superb, they are also fast and produced to W3C standards and the latest accessibility guidelines. They are also built so that search engines will find them more easily. We have proved there is always a market for quality, especially when our costs are surprisingly low.
To help you decide which website option to go for, these FAQs may help you form a web strategy:
What is the purpose of my website?
The look, feel and functionality of your website will be largely determined by ‘what job it has to do’. Maybe it’s sole purpose is to sell product online or possibly you need little more than to have your contact details online. If the minimal templated package seems over-engineered, then maybe a simple bespoke option may be more cost effective.
Once we have agreed the role of your online presence, we can start to formulate a proposal. If it's bespoke, we will construct and present a site map to you which is basically a flow-chart showing each area of the website and how it all links together.
Regardless, we will estimate the overall cost of producing the website, itemising each area in case you decide to remove certain areas from your wish list.
How should it look?
Once the proposal had been approved, we will then start the design process. The begin with - if it's bespoke, we will produce and present designs for how the website should look. This will take the form of non-functional pages including the home page and two other pages of your choice. Once approved, we’ll start building the website.
If you've decided on a templated option, we will provide a selection of templates that we condider approprite to you line of business for you to choose from. Then, once you've supplied a digital logo file and main image we will set to work creating your website and adjusting colours to suit. Once done, we can discuss changes to our recommended colourways.
What do we need from you?
Some time to talk through any pre-formed opinions that you may have, or a brief if you have one – or we can formulate one for you to approve once we know a lot more about your business and objectives. Then any relevant content for the website including words and pictures, or product if you want to take advantage of our in-house digital photographic studio, or maybe you require location photography. If you’re not a word-smith don’t worry …nothing is beyond our means.
How long will it take to produce?
Our extremely experienced team have a complete mix of skills which means we produce everything in-house. This means we have complete control over the schedule which can vary between a few days to a few months depending upon the complexity of the website. During the build process, where functionality and all content is added, we may need to view the progress of the website from time to time online. Once completed, once you are totally happy with the website we can make it visible at your website address.
What about hosting and registering a domain name?
We are more than happy to take care of this for you. Depending upon the functionality and expected traffic on your website, we will make recommendations and offer competitive prices.
What happens after the site has gone live?
Again, this is largely dependant on the type of site and your personal requirements, but we can fulfil or make recommendations on training, maintenance contracts, search engine optimisation, or simply provide a support service on an ‘as and when required’ basis.
Give us a call to arrange a free consultation, and we’ll take it from there.
